Here is just a sampling of the wonderful pieces students made in previous workshops, The Reactive Colors, another Vitrum original course.

After several years of thinking and several months of intensive experimentation and planning we've just successfully completed the first session of our newest class, The Reactive Colors. Bullseye's introduction of their two new reactive colors, 0009 reactive Cloud Opal and 1009 Reactive Ice Clear, were the final pieces of the puzzle necesary to complete this class, an exciting exploration of the great design potential of using reactive glass in the composition of kilnformed work.

Using the Reactive Cloud Opal and Reactive Ice Clear as well as various other glasses in the Bullseye palette that form chemical reactions with each other during the heat of the kilnforming process, the students each made four large color sample charts, two smaller projects and one large final project working with and exploring the color reactions.

We certainly learned a lot in the months we spent actively planning for this course. We think the students benefitted from all our research and that each left the class with enough samples and new material for many months of individual work.
